Some sweet little moments caught at the kids Valentine's Day school parties. As a kid Valentine's Day was always my favorite, I always loved the love notes!

Christmas 2009

This was our first Christmas in Nebraska. We had a full house this year and loved every minute of it! We woke up Christmas morning to a nice new white blanket of snow, it was really beautiful. My Grandma McBride, my mom and dad and two little brothers came, Tom's mom Diana came and also my brother Brian and his wife Kim and two kids were here. We really had a lot of fun. Christmas Eve, Tom's uncle Jim and his wife Debbie came for dinner. They live here in Omaha and it was nice to see them. The kids dressed up and acted out the Nativity, it was so cute and brought the spirit of Christmas into our home.

Christmas morning was so fun of course, I love to see the kids so excited! The highlight was definitely McKenna getting her cell phone. We wrapped it in a very big box and then hid it in a pair of gloves. Tom called the phone when she got to the gloves and when those gloves started buzzing and ringing, she freaked out! It was hilarious, I don't think I have ever seen a kid get so excited in my life.

Trunk or Treat

We had a ward activity/fish fry/trunk or treat this past Friday. It was a really fun activity, the kids had a blast being with all of their friends. This will probably be our last ward activity with 4th ward since we are moving to Nebraska the second week in November! We are excited for the new opportunities that await us but are super duper sad to leave our WONDERFUL friends here. I really wish we could just pack them all into our boxes and take them with us!!!!

First Day of School....................

The girls were pretty excited to start school this year, especially Emma. Emma is in kidergarten! I can't believe it. She absolutely loves it and loves her teacher Mrs. Hachtel. Olivia had her for kidergarten also and Olivia has Ms. Plumley this year for thirs grade; she is the teacher McKenna had. So it was an easy transition for Olivia and Emma. McKenna started going to the upper elementary school this year for fifth grade. She was a little nervous the first day of school but has eased right into it. She feels lucky because she gets to have a "locker" and switch classes a few times a day, very grown up you know.

Zoo Fun!

We've been having lots of fun these last few weeks. It's finally getting warmer and so we have taken advantage of that. Emma and Maleah and I went to the zoo a couple weeks ago with a bunch of friends. We had never been there, and even though it isn't the St. Louis zoo, we still had lots of fun. Emmas favorite thing was feeding the goats.

Another Ice Storm

I haven't blogged in a really long time. So I thought what the heck. We are having another ice storm here in Springfield. It's probably about as much ice as the one last year, but we only lost electricity for about forty minutes last night, instead of the seven days we did last year. The kids have been out of school all week and they alrady has Friday scheduled off and Monday, so who knows if they are even going to school at all this week. They are starting to get really bored. We can't really go anywhere because it is really had to get up the driveway. We did their Valentines and made cookies and made forts and played store and dress up. Lots of fun. We are going to try to get out and go to the gym today. So we'll see if we will have to park on the street. Here are so pics of the storm.
